Blackhorse Run is a beautiful subdivision focused primarily on people who love horses, love spacious living and desire to be in an area that has the feel of country living.  Blackhorse Run is approximately 3 miles north of Treyburn, 10 miles north of Durham and 10 miles south of Roxboro.

This community has a lovely barn-like clubhouse that is available to all residents.  It has a very nice pool and tennis facility, with the club participating in area competitions such as swim teams and tennis matches.

The rolling countryside around Blackhorse run gives residence a great feeling for the countryside.  There is a horse stable at Blackhorse Run.  The community has an active neighborhood association.  The community has an Architectural Review Committee has assures continuity of rules in the area.  Residents must submit plans for new buildings, fences and other significant architectural amenities before beginning construction.

Most homes in Blackhorse Run were built in the 1980's and 1990's, although some very nice lots are still available for sale.  The average home is 3,300 squart feet.  Lot sizes range from 1 acre to 4 acres.
