It may seem to many consumers that getting prequalified for a loan is an unnecessary pain in the neck.  Many consumers might say, "I just want to look for houses and THEN get qualified for a loan." Not getting prequalified will not only cost you time but might cost you your dream home.

"Affordable" may seem slightly tainted to some people.  Barbara Corcoran on The Today Show named Durham her #4 pick for affordability in the U.S.  Homes for sale in Durham are "affordable" doesn't sound very sexy.  A '67 Chevy is affordable.  But affordable in Durham means high quality of life at a reasonable price.

Spring is just about here.  In North Carolina the Bradford Pear trees are bursting out of their shells this very day.  We are perhaps past the last frost.  Real estate in The Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) is looking beautiful again.
