Carrboro, NC Real Estate and Public Schools

Unlike most of the state which is run by county based schools, Carrboro, NC real estate owners are serviced by their own city school district, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro school system.  

Colleges and Universities

Carrboro is not much more than a stone's throw from UNC Chapel Hill.  Just a few more miles down the road is Duke University in Durham.  

Transportation

Just to the west of Carrboro, on the western side of Chapel Hill, highway I-40 runs adjacent and provides the main thoroughfare to other parts of the Triangle and state.  I-40 provides easy east-west travel for Carrboro, NC real estate owners to reach the State Capitol in Raleigh.  It also provides for a short trip to the local Raleigh-Durham International Airport.  

Carrboro is serviced by Chapel Hill Transit, providing bus services for Chapel Hill and Carrboro.  Many students, professors and residents use the buses to traverse Chapel Hill and Carrboro and also connect with the rest of the Triangle via Triangle Transit.  

Shopping and Attractions

Located on the Town Commons, the Carrboro Farmer's Market offers locally grown produce and hand-crafted goods.  Carrboro is also home to a number of art and music festivals like the Carrboro Music Festival.  Carrboro is also home to one of the Weaver Street Market locations, a natural foods cooperative and cafe,  which provides localling grown produce, crafts and goods.

Parks

Carrboro has 10 parks, from large community parks to small neighborhood parks and play areas.  One of the largest, the Anderson Community Park, is a 55 acre area containing lighted baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, picnic tables and sheltered areas.  Carrboro, NC real estate owners have access to plenty of recreational areas.
