Clayton County is also home to one of the busiest airports in the United States, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. It employees over 35,000 people of which one-third live in the county. Actually, nearly half of the residents work within the county unlike other metro Atlanta counties.

Unfortunately the school system in Clayton County real estate in the August of 2008 was the first in the nation since 1969 to lose its accreditation because people believed that the school board committed malfeasance in ignoring the shortcoming of the school system and violating rules concerning the awarding of bids of contracts.
