The Croasdaile area in Durham, NC includes homes surrounding Croasdaile Country Club.  The original Croasdaile neighborhood was built in the early 1960's on farmland owned by a Duke doctor.  The 18 hole golf course was originally built under the direction of architect George Cobb, who designed over 100 golf courses, most notably the 9 hole course at August National.  

In 2002 Croasdaile Golf Course underwent a $3,000,000 renovation under the direction of John LaFoy, who has worked on many golf courses around the country, including the famed Augusta National.  These renovations turned a beautiful golf course into a modern 7,800 yard lay-out that is both challenging to scratch golfers and a joy to walk or ride for the typical amateur.  The country club also has 6 tennis courts and a pro, as well as a beautiful swimming facility.

Croasdaile was once a working dairy farm.  The original barn and silo, with with a few black cows grazing are still very much intact and provide a majestic image for the area.

Most homes around the golf course were built between the 1960's through the 1980's, although there have been some significant new homes built over the last 10 years.

Croasdaile Farms was a new development across Carver Road that started in the early 1990's and is still building estate homes on large lots that are both meadow lots and wooded lots high up on a hilly area in Northern Durham.

In the Croasdaile Farm area, Croasdaile Village Retirement Center was built in the late 1990's.  It is a "Senior Lifestyle Community offering continuous care."

Most homes in the Croasdaile Country Club area are priced in the $500,000 to $700,000 range, while most homes in the new Croasdaile Farm area are priced from the $500,000 to $1,200,000 range.  There are a few homes available near the golf course for under $500,000.
