In 2002 Croasdaile Golf Course underwent a $3,000,000 renovation under the direction of John LaFoy, who has worked on many golf courses around the country, including the famed Augusta National. These renovations turned a beautiful golf course into a modern 7,800 yard lay-out that is both challenging to scratch golfers and a joy to walk or ride for the typical amateur. The country club also has 6 tennis courts and a pro, as well as a beautiful swimming facility.
Croasdaile was once a working dairy farm. The original barn and silo, with with a few black cows grazing are still very much intact and provide a majestic image for the area.
Most homes around the golf course were built between the 1960's through the 1980's, although there have been some significant new homes built over the last 10 years.
Croasdaile Farms was a new development across Carver Road that started in the early 1990's and is still building estate homes on large lots that are both meadow lots and wooded lots high up on a hilly area in Northern Durham.
