The unique micro-climate and soils of Yadkin Valley have proven great from growing European varietals. Davie County has three wineries that are open year round to the public. They offer selections of Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and many more. The county is also close to Winston Salem and Greensboro which offer an abundance of events, shopping, dining, music and festivals. Offering the same, Charlotte is about an hour away.
