Falls River began its existance in 2000, located in North Raleigh off Durant Road.  One of the first planned communities in North Raleigh, its 931 homes are literally a handful of minutes from shopping, the WakeMed North Emergency Medical Center, grocery and recreational parks.  

Homes are built on lots that average 0.10 to 0.32 acres, and there is a good mix architecture offering a custom feel to its single family homes.   Home size averages in the 2300 sq ft range, prices range from the mid $200s to the lower $400s.  The neighborhood features wooded lots and cul-de-sacs, sidewalks throughout which connect to the Falls River Shopping Center in the southside of the devleopment.  

Located within city boundaries, residents enjoy sity water and sewer services, but are literally minutes from nature trails and parks in the Falls River basin and Army Core of Engineers Reserves land.  Schools which service this development include Wildwood Forest Elementary, West Millbrook Middle, and Wakefield High School.  There are numerous daycare and preschool facilities within minutes, as well.  

Drive time to RDU International, RTP business park, or downtown Raleigh are all approximately 20 to 25 minutes.  Falls River is even more accessible due to the I-540 interchange at Falls of Neuse Rd, just minutes south of the community.
