This fast growing county has grown from about 588,000 residents in the year 2000 to over 800,000 in 2009.  The racial makeup is 65.8% white persons, 22.1% African American and 9.6% Asian persons.  There are approximately 288,900 housing units in the county with an owner occupied median value of $142,100. The median household income in 2008 was $66,327.  The median age is 32 years old.
