Johns Creek, GA real estate is located in Fulton County. The new, suburban city was incorporated in 2006. The area was first settled by the Cherokee Indians, and as multiple trading posts along the Cattahoochee River began to grow, so did the area. When the discovery of gold was made in the foothills 45 miles north of what is now Johns Creek, the Cherokee Nation was defeated, and the Cherokees were exiled. However, Johns Creek would only begin to develop in 1981 with the development of office space by the Georgia Institute of Technology.
