Kimmon Place is made up of 98 beautiful transitional style custom built homes over 121 gently rolling acres which used to be a farm that dates back to the late 1800s. There are not a lot of mature trees as this was open farmland, but the developers left over 12 acres of green space to explore including paths, streams and Baynam Pond. And, some of the original apple orchard trees still remain on the land.

The neighborhood has a nice, spacious, not over-crowded feel. Streets are wide and homes plenty of buffer from the roadsides, offering residents and children a safe place to walk, ride bikes, and play. Lots are nice sized from 0.69 to 1.0 acres.
Homes are a nice mix of brick, stone and cement fibre siding and have enough different builders that it is definitely not a cookie cutter feel - rather it offers a high-end custom home feel. Homes range in the low 3000 sq ft to low 4000 sq ft range, with prices in the low $300s to the mid $500s.
The neighborhood's borders actually rest in three counties. The northern part of Wake County, a small corner of Franklin County and even small slice of Granville County. This makes school assignments a bit more interesting, with the Wake Schools serving most of the neighborhood.
Kimmon Place is comfortably close to shopping of all kinds - less than 15 minutes to 3 major grocery stores, large retailers, hardware stores, and numerous restaurants. The subdivision is only 25 minutes North of Triangle Towne Center Mall, and less than 20 minutes to WakeMed North Hospital.
Kimmon Place residents can be to downtown Raleigh via two major routes in under 40 minutes, or to dowtown Durham via US Hwy 98 West in 35 minutes. In fact, nearly everywhere in the Raleigh-Durham area, including the state fairgrounds and RDU International Airport, is a "45 minute or less" commute time using the I-540 bypass via Hwy 98 to Creedmoor Road.
