Mallard Lake is located in the fast growing University City section of Charlotte. Construction of the neighborhood started in the mid 2000s and many of the homes were built in the last couple of years.

Prices start in the $130,000 range for a 1,500 square foot home with two car garage. However, there are plenty of brick-accented, two story homes with more than 3,000 square feet that are selling in the mid $250,000 range.

The neighborhood is just minutes away from some of the Charlotte areas biggest attractions including Verizon Wireless Ampetheater for concerts, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and Concord Mills which is the most visited tourist attraction in North Carolina.

Also just short drives away are dozens of restaurant options from fast food to fine dining, and many varieties of shopping from Trader Joe’s to target.

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is located close by and provides not only easy access to higher learning, but soccer pitches and UNC-Charlotte sporting events.

Mallard Lake is also fortunate to have Stoney Point Elementary school, one of the Charlotte area’s newest, located within walking distance of the neighborhood.

A nice lake and pool area are located at the center of the development and the streets are lined with sidewalks, great for walkers and joggers.
