The spacious neighborhood offers a variety of homes from wooded, one acre lots with 3,000 square feet homes, to two story homes accented with brick on smaller lots. Because the northwest area of Charlotte is one of the last to be developed, homes in Northwoods start at just $80,000 for a nice, three bedroom, three bath house.

Northwoods Amenities

Expect to get a lot for your dollar. Northwoods offers a clean, family friendly neighborhood with an active swim club, nature trail, and many large trees that were saved when the neighborhood was constructed.

The southern portion of the development is adjacent to the Pine Island Country Club golf course, while the rest of Northwoods is surrounded by undeveloped natural areas.

Mountain Island Lake, just a few minutes from the Northwoods, offers swimming and boating, and Latta Park, one of Charlotte’s largest, is just a few miles up Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road.

There are a variety of elementary schools within a few miles, including Mountain Island Elementary and River Oaks Academy—both public schools—and Carolina Montessori School which is within walking distance.
