Most of the homes are ranch style with large front and back yards. Some of the homes closer to South Boulevard range in the $170,000s, but closer to the Park Road area, you’ll find values upwards of $300,000.
The west side of the neighborhood runs parallel to the new light rail train line that stretches from the town of Pineville to downtown Charlotte, making it a great way to not only commute to work, but to visit the many shopping and restaurant offerings along South Boulevard and downtown Charlotte.
On the north side of the neighborhood, you’ll find the South End-Dilworth area with its many shops and restaurants. On the south east side, Park Road Shopping Center has just about everything including a large Harris Teeter, a movie theater, Blackhawk Hardware, and dozens of other stores that make this one of the best shopping areas in all of Charlotte.
There are plenty of parks in the area, including Freedom, Latta, Revolution and Park Road Park, and the Charlotte Douglas International Airport is just 10 minutes up West Boulevard.
Several new apartment buildings have been constructed in the neighborhood in recent years, making Sedgefield a great place for not only young professionals, but those who are looking for a great value on a home to raise a family.
