

Sunset Hills is a community of historic family housing located just west of downtown Greensboro. The neighborhood was established in the 1920's and a large proportion of historic Greensboro homes are located in the area. Sunset hills was planned to accommodate large swaths of oak and pine forest that give the large lots park like qualities. A central greenbelt divides the neighborhood's two main thoroughfares. The greenbelt contains wooded walking trails that cross raw-stone bridges as well as a children's playground. The entire areas historical characteristics come from it's stately Georgian and neoclassical homes as well as smaller 1930's to mid-century homes built as Colonial and Tudor revivals.

The area is just moments away from the University of North Carolina Greensboro campus. It also abuts the up and coming Lindley Park neighborhood, full of new restaurants, shops, and other entertainments venues. Downtown can be reached in under five minutes by car and is also within leisurely walking distance. The Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball stadium and the twice weekly Greensboro Farmers Curb Market are minutes away.
The neighborhood sits straddled by Friendly Avenue and Market Street both offering quick access to local conveniences and the greater Greensboro area. The Friendly center lies west of Sunset Hills and offers many local and national restaurants, retail, and business amenities. Local schools include Guilford county's Lindley Elementary, Kiser Middle and Grimsley High, as well as the Our Lady of Grace Catholic School. Piedmont Triad International Airport is only a 15 minute drive away.
