The Preserve at Jordan Lake is a luxurious, master-planned golfing community south of Chapel Hill. The 18 hole championship golf course was designed by Davis Love III. The area is pristine with mature forests all around, while the community included an Olympic sized swimming pool, a social room, a fitness facility, tennis courts and a multi-purpose playing field. In addition, throughout the community are wide sidewalks and walking trails.
The first homes were built in the community in the early 2000's. Homes continue to be built. There are luxury homes available as resales, as well as new construction and lots on which custom homes can be built.
Even with its rural feel, The Preserve is only 20 minutes to Chapel Hill, The University of North Carolina and its major hospital. It is also only 30 minutes to Durham, with Duke University and The Duke University Medical Center. 30 minutes also gets you to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Raleigh-Durham International Airport is only 25 minutes from The Preserve.
The David Love III golf course has the designation as an Audubon International Certified Sanctuary Golf Course. It is a spectacular course, with wonderful vistas, while at the same time maintaining a refuge for wildlife. It was voted one of the top 40 new golf courses in the United States by Golfweek Magazine.
The Preserve is very rural in its surroundings, but surprisingly near Research Triangle Park, which includes Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and other cities. Due to it's great location, The Preserve has amazing cultural opportunities afforded by surrounding Triangle cities and Universities.
