Winmore is a lovely community in Chapel Hilll that prides itself on distinctive home design, gracious amenities and green home building.  Every Winmore home, for example, is ENERGY STAR, and is Green Building Initiative Certified.

This community was developed by Capkov Venures, with highest quality local builders Dixon/Kirby & Company, Pickett Land and Building, Melville Builders, Kovens Construction Company an G. Crabtree Builders.

Winmore includes 96 single family homes and 86 town homes.  Also included in the Winmore area is a town center called Philip's Square.  This area will include some retail space and space for commercial businesses. There is also provision for approximately 20 living/working units that have office space on the main floor and town home living above the space. 

Winmore is considered by some to be a good example of "new urban development," creating a walkable neighborhood, that include living, working and recreational facilities.
