Homes average 3,100 sq ft with some on cul-de-sacs or basement lots creeping into the 4000 sq ft range.  Exterior features are pleasing to the eye - a mix of brick, stone, and cement fibre sidings.  Homes are well cared for, nicely spaced, and the neighborhood's desirable location has the price range holding steady in the low $300s up to the high $400s.  Homes were built in the 1997 to 2003 time period.

Amenities include sidewalks and streelights. There is no pool but the neighborhood is 5 minutes from the Wakefield YMCA which has two pools.  There is an active HOA and dues are modest covering maintenance of common areas.  Schools serving Wood Spring are North Raleigh's finest - Brassfield Elementary, Wakefield Middle and Wakefield High. The development is within Raleigh city limits.

Wood Spring is close to shopping and restaurants of all kinds, 10 minutes to Triangle Town Center Mall, 5 minutes to WakeMed North Hospital, and 20 minutes to RDU International Airport.
